23 hilltop lots from $99,000 AUD. Off-grid living, 15 minutes from Port Vila.
Wake up above the clouds. Look out over Mele Bay, Port Vila and Pango Point. Feel the cool trade winds roll in. This is Summit Village, and it is unlike anything else on Efate.
Summit Village is a private eco-community on a 42 hectare lease in the hills above Devils Point Road. Every lot sits between 180 and 230 metres above sea level. That height means big views and a cooler, fresher climate all year round.
Choose your lot
12 Escarpment lots from 0.5 to 1.3 ha, set along the ridge with rainforest below
10 Panorama lots from 0.84 to 1.45 ha on the gently graded upper terrace
1 Special Panorama lot of 3.11 ha with 310 m of road frontage
Each lot has a natural building spot with a clear view line to the bay. Lots are separated by streams, valleys and rainforest, so you get real privacy.
Built for off-grid living
This is a true off-grid village. Rooftop solar is the main power source. Rainfall is plentiful, so rainwater harvesting is part of the plan for every home. Cyclone-rated construction is expected as standard. Company vehicles and village assets will run on green energy, including on-site solar and biogas. You get lower bills, less reliance on the grid, and peace of mind when the weather turns.
Life in the village
Palm-lined roads with bougainvillea, fully maintained
A village farm with fresh organic produce, livestock and poultry
Eagles, flying foxes and bright birdlife on the ridge
Owners help run the village through the Management Committee
The Summit Lodge and Club is planned, with a pool, gardens and barbecue for owners
Earn from your land (optional)
Set aside at least 2,500 m² of your lot for a moringa plot for five years. South Pacific Botanicals pays all setup and running costs. At current prices, the estimated return is around $5,000 AUD a year. Returns depend on actual crops and export prices.
